Playa de Palombina, Llanes, Asturias
Situated in the heart of Celorio, Llanes, Playa de Palombina is one of the more popular Llanes beaches when the summer arrives.
Playa de Palombina has golden sands on offer during both high and low tides and is very well sheltered from currents so ideal for all the family. Accessing the beach is easy making the location perfect for beach goers with disabilities.
What makes Playa de Palombina really stand out is that over to the right hand corner of the beach there stands the Monastery of San Salvador that was established during the 12th century by Benedictine monks. This makes the beach more interesting to visit especially for those less interested in beach lounging. The surrounding area of Celorio offers plenty of coastal routes that are dotted with little coves and beaches to discover.
Playa de Palombina is watched over by lifeguards during the summer months and showers and toilets are available at the entrance of the beach. Being situated at the town center, you will find plenty of good restaurants, cafes and shops to avail of.
To get there just head for the town of Celorio in Llanes….you can’t miss it after that.
