Trekking Experience in Asturias: many people call Asturias “Little Switzerland” due to the magnificent landscapes and the orography with more than 40% of the region considered as “Natural Protected Space and UNESCO Biosphere Reseve”
Asturias is known as “The Natural Paradise of Spain” and the best way to discover the region is by walking or trekking its beautiful coast, valleys and mountains.
The Principality of Asturias is a unique destination for those who love trekking, both for the ammount and quality of the Routes and the wide variety of them. There are more than 5000 kilometres of trekking routes for all kind of levels, from the beginners to the more experienced ones.
PROGRAM TREKKING EXPERIENCE
DAY 1 | Airport – Cangas de Onís
Pick up the rental car at the airport of Asturias or Santander and check in at the Hotel in Cangas de Onís. |
DAY 2 | Cares Route
Transfer to the Route (In/Out). This Route has 11 kilometres and it was used to link the towns of Cain and Poncebos. It is a gorge with impressive views to the Picos de Europa. |
DAY 3 | Route of Cheese and Cider
This is a guided Route in the Picos de Europa. It is a unique experience where you can visit cheese caves and cider production houses. |
DAY 4 | Covadonga Lakes Route
The Covadonga Lakes and the Mountains around them were declared in 1918 the first National Park in Spain. There are two lakes, Enol and Ercina with amazing views to the majestic mountains around them. |
DAY 5 | Llanes
You will move your destination to the coast of Asturias where you will have your accommodation in the beautiful village of Llanes. During the way you will have a stopover to take lunch in the fishing village or Ribadesella and visit the Tito Bustillo Caves, one of the most significant places in the World to admire their Paleolithic Cave Paintings. |
DAY 6 | Stage of the Coastal Route of the Camino de Santiago
Transfer to the Route (In/Out). You can choose between different Stages:

Check out, deliver the car at the airport and end of our services. |
